The 60-second summary
Sleek Ride Solutions, LLC (“Sleek Ride,” “we,” “us”) runs this website and the services attached to it. Here’s the short version:
- We collect only what we need to help you book a service or get an insurance quote.
- We don’t sell your personal information to data brokers, list buyers, or ad networks.
- We dopass insurance leads and service requests to vetted partners so they can get back to you — that’s the product.
- You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your information at any time. Details below.
Who we are
Sleek Ride Solutions, LLC is a North Carolina limited liability company, headquartered in Statesville, NC. You can reach us at hello@sleekride.com or at the mailing address at the bottom of this page.
For the purpose of laws like California’s CCPA/CPRA or Virginia’s CDPA, Sleek Ride is the “business” or “controller” of the information you submit to us directly through this website.
What we collect
Things you give us
When you fill out a form on our site — contact form, service request, insurance lead, upholstery quote, account signup (when available) — we collect what you type in. That usually means some combination of:
- Your name and email address.
- Your phone number and zip code, when you provide them.
- Your state of residence, for insurance inquiries.
- Your vehicle year, make, and model, for service requests.
- A free-text description of what you need, and anything else you choose to tell us.
If you later book a service, we’ll also collect the details of that booking (service type, date, location) and — when payments go live — payment information processed by our payment processor. We don’t see or store full card numbers ourselves.
Things we collect automatically
When you visit the site, our systems and a handful of infrastructure tools see the kind of information every modern website sees: your IP address, the pages you visit, which device and browser you’re using, and approximate location from your IP. Our hero zip-code pill also saves your zip code in your browser’s localStorage so we can preselect your area next time you visit — that value never leaves your device unless you submit it with a form.
We use PostHog for product analytics (anonymous pageviews + opt-in event tracking once you create an account) and Sentry for crash + error monitoring. Both are listed in the sub-processor schedule below. We do not run advertising pixels.
How we use it
We use your information to do the thing you asked us to do:
- Respond to your contact message, service request, or quote request.
- Route insurance inquiries to licensed partner agencies so they can prepare quotes.
- Route upholstery quote requests to our upholstery partner.
- Keep you updated on bookings and jobs you’ve placed with us.
- Send you operational email (confirmations, updates, receipts).
- Improve the site and fix things that break.
- Meet our legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
We don’t send marketing emails or text messages unless you’ve explicitly signed up for them. If we add a newsletter or promotional SMS program later, it will be opt-in and we’ll disclose it here before enrolling anyone.
Mobile text messaging (SMS)
We send transactional SMS notifications related to bookings you place with us. The categories we send are:
- Booking confirmations after checkout.
- Provider acceptance updates (your provider accepted, your provider proposed a different time, your provider cancelled).
- Status updates on the day of the job (provider en route, job started, photos uploaded, ready for pickup).
- Cancellation and reschedule confirmations on bookings you’ve made.
- A short ping when your assigned provider sends you an in-app message about an active booking.
We do not use SMS for marketing or promotional content. Every text we send is tied to a booking you placed.
How you opt in
You consent to transactional SMS in one of two ways:
- At signup — the /account/signup page discloses that creating an account opts you in to transactional booking SMS at the phone number on your account.
- In account settings — the /account/notifications page lets you toggle SMS on or off per-category at any time after sign-in.
How you opt out
At any time you can:
- Reply STOP to any of our messages. We’ll stop SMS to that number immediately and reply with a single confirmation. Email confirmations on your bookings continue.
- Reply HELP to any of our messages and we’ll reply with our support contact and link.
- Disable SMS in your account notification settings.
Frequency and rates
Message frequency depends on your booking activity — typically two to five messages per booking. Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. We don’t charge you for SMS; your carrier might.
Who delivers our SMS
We use Twilio (a US-based telecommunications platform, listed in the sub-processor schedule above) to send transactional SMS. Twilio is contractually bound not to use your number for any purpose other than delivering the message we hand them.
Selling your data
We don’t sell your personal information to data brokers, list buyers, or advertising networks, and we don’t trade it for money.
Here’s where we want to be straight with you: routing your insurance lead to a partner agency, where we may receive a referral fee or lead fee from that agency, could be treated as a “sale” of personal information under some state privacy laws (California’s CCPA is the main one). We think of it as a regulated lead-referral activity and not a sale — but laws don’t always agree.
If that activity counts as a “sale” where you live, you have the right to opt out. Email us at hello@sleekride.com with “Opt out of sale” in the subject and we’ll stop routing your information to partners within a reasonable time.
Your choices and rights
Regardless of where you live, you can:
- Ask us what information we have on file about you.
- Ask us to correct mistakes in that information.
- Ask us to delete your information.
- Withdraw consent for any marketing communications.
We will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. You won’t get worse service or higher prices because you asked.
State privacy rights
Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), and Utah (UCPA), plus the growing list of other states with comparable privacy regimes, have additional rights including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to data portability, the right to opt out of “sale” or sharing, the right to opt out of targeted advertising, and the right to appeal a denial of any of the above. We honor every one of these rights for residents of every state that grants them. Email hello@sleekride.com with the specific request and the state you reside in; we’ll respond within 30 days, or sooner where your state’s law sets a tighter deadline.
How we protect it
We use modern infrastructure and encrypt information in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (Supabase Postgres with encryption). We’re a small team with role-based access controls on what we can see. That said, nothing connected to the internet is 100% secure. If something goes wrong and your information is affected, we’ll tell you as quickly as the law requires and give you enough information to protect yourself.
Kids under 18
This site and its services are intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you’re a parent and you think your kid submitted something here, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information in a meaningful way, we’ll update this page and bump the effective date at the top. For material changes we’ll also let you know the next time you interact with us, with enough notice to opt out if you want to.
