SleekRide
SMS program

Text alerts about your bookings. Only the messages that matter.

Effective May 4, 2026. SleekRide sends transactional text messages so you know what’s happening with the services and rentals you’ve booked. No marketing, no promos, no surprise sends.

What we send

The texts you’ll get fall into a small, fixed set:

If you’re a customer

  • Booking confirmations after you check out.
  • Provider updates: when your provider accepts, when they propose a different time, when they have to cancel.
  • Day-of status: provider en route, job started, photos uploaded, ready for pickup.
  • Cancellation and reschedule confirmations.
  • A short ping when your assigned provider sends you an in-app message about your active booking.

If you’re a provider or provider employee

  • Acceptance requests when a new booking is assigned to you (1-hour decision window).
  • Customer-initiated cancellations or reschedule requests on jobs you’re assigned.
  • Customer in-app messages on jobs you’re assigned.

Everything we send is transactional and tied to a booking you placed or a job assigned to you. We do not use SMS for marketing, promotional offers, or third-party content. We never sell or share your phone number with anyone other than Twilio (the carrier we use to send the messages).

How often

Message frequency depends on your booking activity. A typical booking generates 2–5 messages from start to finish. Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. We don’t charge you for SMS, but your carrier might.

How to manage SMS

  • STOP: reply STOP to any of our texts to unsubscribe immediately. We’ll send a single confirmation reply and then nothing else. Your bookings still get email confirmations.
  • HELP: reply HELP to any of our texts to get our support contact and link.
  • In your account notification settings: turn SMS on or off any time.
  • On this page (below): opt in or out directly.

Carrier and data handling

We use Twilio (a US-based telecommunications platform, listed in our sub-processor schedule) to deliver SMS. Twilio is contractually bound not to use your number for any purpose other than delivering the specific message we hand them. We retain your phone number as long as you have an active SleekRide account.

Full details are in our Privacy Policy: Mobile text messaging section.

Opt in

SMS alerts are tied to your SleekRide account and are off by default. Here’s exactly what you’d be turning on. Sign in or create a free account to opt in. Nothing is sent until you do.

Disclosure shown at opt-in

For transparency: this is the exact text shown adjacent to the opt-in button (above and on /account/notifications) when you opt in. It’s also what we record in our consent audit log so we can prove which language you agreed to.

By clicking I consent and want SMS alerts, you agree to receive recurring transactional text messages from SleekRide about your bookings (booking confirmations, provider acceptance updates, day-of status, cancellation and reschedule confirmations, customer–provider in-app message pings, and provider-side acceptance requests on assigned jobs). Message frequency depends on your booking activity (typically 2–5 messages per booking). Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe; reply HELP for support. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.
